Marking a photo as "Private" in Paragon

Created by Gary Bild, Modified on Mon, 9 Jun at 4:53 PM by Dimita Wilson

Paragon users can mark Active listing photos as "Private", this keeps the photo visible within Paragon, but hidden from all public applications, including system feeds, internet syndication and exports. Marking a photo as "Private" will add a label at the bottom of the photo.

Once the listing status has changed to Sold/Closed, all requests to mark the photos as "Private" must be submitted in writing to our Support Team. Submit requests to: Support@sdmls.com

Including:

  • The listing ID or address

  • Your contact information

  • A brief explanation of the request

The MLS does not remove property photos from listings after the listing has been updated to a finalized or sold/closed status based on California Civil Code § 1088(c).

Per SBSA:
5. MARKETING; INTERNET ADVERTISING; INTERNET BLOGS; SOCIAL MEDIA: Buyer and Seller are advised that Broker may employ a “staging” company to assist in the presentation of the Property. The furnishings and decorations in the staging are generally not included in the sale unless specifically noted in the Agreement. Statements and inclusion in the MLS entry, flyers, and other marketing materials are NOT part of the Agreement. In addition, Broker may employ a service to provide a “virtual tour” or “virtual staging” or Internet marketing of the Property, permitting potential buyers to view the Property over the Internet. While they are supposed to be an accurate representation of the property, the photos may be enhanced and not fully representative of the actual condition of the property. Further, neither the service provider nor the Broker has total control over who will obtain access to materials placed on the internet or what action such persons might take. Additionally, some Internet sites and other social media provide formats for comments or opinions on the value of properties that are for sale. Information on the Property, or its owner, neighborhood, or any homeowner association having governance over the Property, may be found on the internet on individual or commercial websites, blogs, Facebook pages, or other social media. Any such information may be accurate, speculative, truthful, or lies, and it may or may not reflect the opinions or representations by the Broker. Broker will not investigate any such sites, blogs, social media, or other internet sites or the representations contained therein. Buyer is advised to make an independent search of electronic media and online sources prior to removing any investigation contingency. Buyer and Seller are advised that Broker has no control over how long the information or photos concerning the Property will be available on the Internet or through social media, and Broker will not be responsible for removing any such content from the Internet or MLS. Brokers do not have expertise in this area.
